Water with Lemon and Fresh Mint

I like to make this lemon & mint water at least once a week. It tastes good & shows to have health benefits. (Cecilia Snyder, MS, RD) It usually lasts me 2 to 3 days, and keeps me feeling hydrated!

Ingredients

  • 1 Whole Lemon
  • Pitcher (I prefer to use a glass pitcher with a stainless steal lid that catches the lemon seeds when I pour the water)
  • A Handful of Fresh Mint (I used mint from my mint plant)
  • Cold Filtered Water

Step By Step

  1. Put the fresh mint in the pitcher

2. Put the juice of the entire lemon into the pitcher (a manual juicer could be used if you don’t want to include the seeds, but I just include the seeds in the pitcher since the lid of my pitcher catches the seeds)

3. Fill the pitcher with cold water and stir. Put the lid on the pitcher & store in the fridge. Shake the pitcher a little before you pour a fresh glass of this refreshing water! Drink within 2-3 days.
